Inuvialuit Cultural Resource Centre (ICRC)
In May 1998, ICRC opened as a regional centre in Tuktoyaktuk with the following mandate:
In April 2000, ICRC was relocated to Inuvik to better serve the region with easier access to governments and other Inuvialuit communities.
Funding for ICRC comes from Canada (AANDC), GNWT (Education, Culture and Employment), Heritage Canada and the Beaufort-Delta Divisional Board of Education. In the past, projects undertaken with this funding included:
Inuvialuktun Children's Books
As part of its mandate to preserve and promote the Inuvialuktun language, ICRC has produced ten children's books in each of the three dialects. Please click on the links below to access the books.
