Budgeting, Reporting, and Monitoring Course - Paulatuk
Inuvialuit Regional Corporation, in partnership with GNWT MACA’s School of Community Government and Crowe MacKay LLP, is offering a 10-day Budgeting, Reporting, and Monitoring course in Paulatuk. This course will be held from October 18 to October 29.
Participants will review the budgeting process to ensure they have the required skills and knowledge to plan for and implement their organization’s budget.
This course is one segment of a 10-course certificate in Community Finance. If you are interested in attending this course, please apply. Instructor and dates are secured. A training allowance is provided depending on eligibility, all applications are welcome.
The deadline for applications is October 12, 2018.
The Budgeting, Reporting, and Monitoring course includes the following:
- Participants will learn how to allocate the budget on a monthly basis.
- Revenue allocations and expenditure cycles will be explained.
- Participants will learn how to use the annual budget as a tool to compare monthly actual expenditures to budgeted amounts.
- Focus on the budget review process and the tools used to evaluate the budget and the overall health of the organization.
Additional topics covered include the techniques of variance analysis, reporting tools such as the Interim Reporting Tool, and assessment of significant budget factors.
