For the first time, IRC will livestream the All Candidate Forum.
The livestream will begin Monday, January 28 at 9:00am with the support of Inuvialuit Communications Society. The livestream will be found on the 2019 IRC Chair Election Facebook page.
The 2019 IRC Chair Election will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29th in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, at the Midnight Sun Complex. The 42 Directors of the Community Corporations of Aklavik, Inuvik, Paulatuk, Sachs Harbour, Tuktoyaktuk, and Ulukhaktok are entitled to vote.

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation recently launched an online eLearning component of the IFA-101 initiative to provide a new generation of Inuvialuit and Canadians a greater understanding of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement, and the history of the land claim agreement. Without access to adequate broadband, Inuvialuit would be hard-pressed to find educational tools with such important cultural significance.

Elders Benefit Payments of $500 are available each year to all Inuvialuit beneficiaries over the age of 60. Inuvialuit Regional Corporation will be distributing payments to community corporations, mailing payments to those outside the Inuvialuit Settlement Region, and electronically depositing payments to those registered for direct deposit on December 3.
