Pan Arctic Inuit Logistics Corporation (PAIL) under a joint venture with ATCO Frontec Corp. of Calgary, operates and maintains the Canadian portion of the North Warning System on behalf of the Department of National Defence (DND) through their mutual agent Nasittuq Corporation.
PAIL is 100% owned and controlled by the Inuit in the four Inuit land claims settlement regions of Canada, acting through their respective "heritage organizations". PAIL's seven shareholders are the Inuvialuit Development Corporation (IDC); Nunasi Corporation; Makivik Corporation; the Labrador Inuit Development Corporation (LIDC); Qikiqtaaluk Corporation; Sakku Investments Corporation, and Kitikmeot Corporation.
A major objective, that continues to be pursued by PAIL in relation to its involvement in NWS operations and maintenance activities, is to encourage the employment and training of Inuit in the various jobs that are associated with the NWS, and in this way contribute to the ability of Inuit to participate more fully in the Northern and Canadian workforce and economy in general. In its NWS activities PAIL also encourages business and economic development.

Manufacturing and Construction
MITS is a joint venture between Inuvialuit Development Corporation (IDC) and Hallmark Tubulars Ltd. It provides products and services to the oil and gas industry in regards to integrated tubular solutions for OCTG and line pipe. MITS offers a complete range of all products and services, from mill sourcing, inventory management, inspection, threading, returns management, logistics, rental strings, accessories and installation of pipe in the wellbore. This applies to both onshore and offshore drilling projects. MITS offers a unique and unrivalled "single point of contact" solution to all aspects of OCTG and line pipe requirements.

Akita Equtak is a 50/50 equity based joint venture partnership between Akita Drilling Ltd. and Inuvialuit Development Corporation providing premium Arctic contract drilling services and crews. Akita Equtak has been in operation since 1983 and has drilled for every operator in the Mackenzie Delta since 2000, providing drilling equipment of a variety of sizes and capacities and even labour crews for offshore drilling projects. Arctic Oil and Gas Services Ltd is an Inuvialuit company providing catering support services to Oil, Gas and Mining Industries in the Mackenzie Delta and Beaufort Sea Regions.
