Are you an existing, or aspiring, artisan with an interest in exploring new technologies and mediums in which to express your work? The Merging Arts and Crafts with Technology and Manufacturing program at Aurora College might be for you! 

The combination of artistic and creative ability, with access to design and manufacturing equipment, allows participants to create innovative products and open the door to entrepreneurship and local manufacture. 

This program takes place from October 9 to December 14, 2018 at Aurora Campus in Inuvik. If you are interested in attending, you must apply soon. The deadline is Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

Participants in the program will learn the following skills and applications:

  • CAD (Computer-aided Design)
  • 3D Printing
  • Silk Screening
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Laser Cutting Demonstrations and Application
  • CNC (Computer Numeric Control) Milling
  • Business Basics

Application requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 10 
  • Comfortable with computers in particular and technology in general
  • Genuine interest in the production of arts and crafts
  • Beaufort Delta resident

If you plan on applying, you will need to submit an Aurora College application, copy of your high school or college transcripts, and a letter of interest indicating your experience and how this training will benefit you.

All application documents should be submitted to Aurora College.
