Shingle Point Residential School Documents Arrive At Inuvialuit Cultural Centre

Shingle Point

The Inuvialuit Cultural Centre (ICRC) is now home to historical documentation from Shingle Point Eskimo Residential School (1929-1936).

A collaboration between ICRC, Saint Mary's University, and the Anglican Church Archives led to this documentation coming to the cultural centre.

Information sessions concerning the collaboration and documentation are planned in Aklavik, Inuvik, and Tuktoyaktuk. These will be hosted by Val Marie Johnson (Saint Mary's University) and Deanna Marie Jacobson (Inuvialuit Regional Corporation).
