With the overall goal of instilling greater pride in heritage, the 2017 Northern and Dene Games Summit brought together over 235 students and chaperones from across the Beaufort Delta region for four days of friendly competition.

Held in Inuvik at East Three Elementary and Secondary School from March 12 to 15, 2017, the summit allows for youth to learn traditional skills from elders and apply these in a showcase of their athletic talent.
