Please be advised that IRC’s Health & Wellness Division is receiving a high-volume of COVID-19 Funding requests from two support programs: Child First Initiative and On the Land Fund.

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) asks both the Northwest Territories and Yukon Governments to close the Dempster Highway to all non-essential travel.

*This closed after a second round of funding for reapplications for spring out,

See Notice here and thank you to those who got out on the land for May 13, 2020.

Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) and its Health & Wellness Division is offering beneficiaries with an established camp or cabin and ready transportation the short-term financial assistance to get out on the Land.  Recognizing that going out on the land is traditionally and culturally relevant especially during this time of uncertainty, IRC is prepared to accept Expressions of Interest from beneficiaries who are willing to spend 14 or more days out and the costs associated with supporting these On the Land activities.

IRC now formally asks that only those required for essential services travel into the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. As of March 19, 2020, all non-essential services will be limited and staff will be directed to work out of their homes.

To limit potential exposure to COVID-19, IRC has moved forward on precautionary measures.

Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) would like to invite anyone who wishes to be considered for acceptance into the Inuvialuit Trust, to submit your completed enrolment package by  March 31, 2020.

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) wishes to remind Inuvialuit beneficiaries and other residents and visitors of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region that harvesting from the Reindeer herd is strictly not allowed.

The purpose of the Federal Day Schools Class Action (FDSCA) Settlement Agreement is to address harm suffered as a result of Canada’s establishment, management, and funding of Federal Day Schools.
