Passport and PAL Photo Services

As a service to all beneficiaries, Inuvialuit Regional Corporation offers a photo service to help in obtaining your passport or the photos you can then use in applying for your Possession and Acquisition License (PAL). IRC is pleased to announce that the photo service will resume each Friday from 2-4pm.

If you plan on applying for a passport, or know that your current one is expiring soon, you will need to obtain two identical and unaltered photos to include in your application.

Starting again May 13, 2022, IRC will offer walk-in photo services every Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on the third floor of our head office and Inuvialuit Corporate Building in Inuvik.

Photos that can be taken include: Possession and Acquisition License aka PAL (formerly Fire Arm Certificate aka FAC), Canadian Citizenship photos and Indian Status card photos.

The entire process usually takes less than 10 minutes and you will leave the building with your photos in hand.

Our photos meet the requirements set by the Government of Canada.

There is a charge of $25.00 (cash only) for non-beneficiaries.

Please be advised that we can NOT take photo ID's (general ID), driver's license photos, or photos for children under 2 years of age.
